Nova FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a competitive activity in which students work in teams (up to 15) to build and program a robot. Based on student interest, Nova will form 1-3 teams. Students will learn and apply engineering principles to solve complicated problems. They will be responsible for budget, planning, documentation, safety and the performance of the robot, as well as outreach to sponsors and the community. Objectives include: developing engineering skills: communication, electrical, mechanical, programming, teamwork, professionalism and responsibility. Although the program is flexible, it requires a significant time commitment.
